You creep around the side of the house and sit near the corner so that you need only peek around to see the front door in case anyone exits. You settle yourself into a sitting position and take a deep breath, trying not to focus on darkness around you. You gaze at the water at the edge of the platform. You notice tiny, biolumiscent squid darting around near the surface, rainbows of color shimmering along their tiny bodies. The longer you look, the more of them you notice beneath the surface, until there's so many the water looks like the night sky, with countless little points of light swimming through the blackness. Suddenly, you hear the same chest-vibrating groan again. It starts to sound like a grumble, and you can't escape the feeling its coming from some gargantuan creature. You hear a thundering crash like an avalanche. Before you have time to react, you see a massive wave in front of you just before it strikes you and sweeps you into the lake. As you try to ascertain which direction is up in the inky water, you feel something pin your arms to your sides, then wrap around your legs. You never make it to the surface. THE END START OVER
