You steer your boat into the stream on the left. The reeds on either side of you close together overhead, blocking out the sunlight above. Before long, it becomes difficult to see in front of you. You relight your torch so that you can navigate without crashing into the banks. After just a few seconds, the flame attracts a cloud of insects. They begin to swarm you, and their tiny bodies coat your limbs and back, biting right through your clothes. You feel a numbness starting at your fingertips and toes. The flesh on your extremeties begins to swell, followed by your throat. Your vision goes black as you struggle to breath. THE END START OVER |
